If you're looking for things to do in Reykjavik
during your stay, make sure you join one of our
guided sightseeing tours!
A SEGWAY TOUR is one of the most exciting ways to see Reykjavik. Segway tours are fun and informative and it is surprisingly easy to learn how to ride the it.
Helmets are provided for your safety as well as some protective clothing in case it is wet or cold.
Your safety is our priority which is the reason all our tours start with an introduction to the Segway and hands on training.
The route may include but is not limited to the north coast beachfront, Solfarid Viking ship sculpture, Hofdi House where Reagan and Gorbachev met in October 1986, Hallgrimskirkja Memorial Church and city center.
You'll see some of the highlights too far from the city center to travel on foot as well as some of the classic sights.
+/- 2 hours.
14.900 ISK per person. (Appx. 120 € / 149 $)
Daily and by request - see booking calendar.
Please book your tour in advance so we can make sure we have a guide for you.
Please book via our website or by email or call if it concerns a last minute booking for example.
We have only 14 Segway machines which means we only do small groups. Most of the time there's only 2 to 6 persons on our scheduled tours. If you prefer a more private tour for you and perhaps your family or friends we can probably do one for you if you contact us and ask for it.
A Segway PT is suitable for persons 15 years and older (if younger please contact us), between 45kgs – 120kgs (99lbs-260lbs) and have a minimum level of fitness, as you need to use your body to control the Segway PT. Please note that due to the risk of injury from falling, pregnant women are not allowed to join the tours. It is not permitted to ride a Segway PT under the influence of alcohol.
Always dress appropriately. In the case of rain, the tours will still go ahead as planned. If, in the unlikely event that the weather is too bad to safely operate the tour, the tours may be postponed or cancelled by us, and you will be notified as far in advance as possible via the email address used to make the booking. In this event, a 100% refund will be made.
We do not offer Segway PT rentals without guides.
If an employee of Sway - Reykjavik Segway Tours feels that a client is unsuitable for the tour we reserve the right to refuse participation for any reason at any time.
The famous Segway PT is an electrically powered two wheeled vehicle that you stand on and control by leaning your body forward to go, back to stop and move the stick side to side to steer.
Segway Authorized Tours meet a high standard for providing customers with a safe and memorable experience. Authorized Tour operators provide pre-ride safety training recommended by Segway.
